Calvin Harris Jr., CPA, is the Chief Executive Officer of the New York State Society of CPAs. At 126 years old, the NYSSCPA is the oldest state society in the U.S. Harris has over 30 years of executive-level experience in working with complex organizations.

Calvin has served as a Chief Financial Officer, auditor, forensic accountant, consultant, and entrepreneur during his CPA career.

A graduate of Morehouse College in Atlanta, Ga., Harris is the former Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer of the historic National Urban League (NUL), based in New York City. Prior to the NUL, Harris served as the Chief Financial Officer of Baltimore City Community College, along with leadership roles at the United Nations Foundation, NeighborWorks America, Legal Services Corporation, and Aeras Global TB Vaccine Foundation. His career began as an auditor at Arthur Andersen LLP. Harris was the 24th Chairman of the Board and National President of the National Association of Black Accountants (NABA). With a late mother who was a high school bookkeeping teacher, he knew from an early age that he wanted to be a CPA. He has devoted much of his career to promoting, enhancing, and strengthening the accounting profession.

Harris is a native of Maryland, but resides in New York City.
